There is no option for a capsule case with removable bottom for docking?? That is extremely disappointing. It looks like the same might be true for the iPad case?

I absolutely LOVE my Uncommon capsule 3G/3GS case, and have gotten many compliments on it (although I had to take that puffy logo sticker out so that it worked properly.) I was really looking forward to purchasing an iPhone 4 case from you, but now I am not so sure.

The Trooper case is the only one I would consider based on aesthetics, but it is very disappointing that I wouldn’t be able to use a dock with it. I am also hesitant to get a soft case as I generally don’t like the way they feel, they pick up dirt easier, and they have a tendency to slip around on the phone… allowing dirt to become trapped easily and some flexible cases even switch the phone into silent mode unintentionally due to the slippage.

Please please please make a hard ...

PLEASE make a hard case just like the 3G/3Gs capsule case if it is at all possible!! I know I will purchase it, and I bet many others will appreciate it too.

In response to the above, it will be really hard to make a capsule case for the iphone 4 with the redesign of the phone to be squared off the closest you will get is the gallery case which his half hard case and uses the bumper design that apple created, i will be purchasing one of these for my 4

Really need that removable bottom and while I REALLY love my current 3GS case, I’m not sure I will purchase the new iPhone4 if I can’t get that removable bottom. I put my phone in my alarm clock dock and I’m afraid that without it, it would be difficult to be convenient.

To Adam: I have seen other companies offering slider/capsule cases for the iPhone 4. I am still hoping Uncommon will come through for us! Every time I look at my 3G case I feel a pang of sadness that I can’t carry it over to the new phone.

i’m with aaron…i’ve ordered the iPhone 3GS case and love it…so much so that i’ve given it as a gift to several others.

i’m eager to buy an iPad option, an iPod Touch option and certainly now an iPhone 4 option. i’ve signed up for notifications, but there doesn’t seem to be any movement.

Jeremy: The iPhone 4 Loop case will not be customizable. It’s a flexible frame to protect the phone’s edges, and the front and back of the phone will be exposed.

Graig: The Trooper case is made with a flexible, TPU material. Similar to the material that the Livestrong yellow wristbands are made with.

I’m going to be patient. I have a bumper case currently, but would like to make my own. From the looks of their current line, I like what I see. I understand wanting and/or needing a case, but for the sheer fact that they allow you to customize it, I’m willing to wait. I have some photos and artwork that I would love to have a case for. I’d rather they get it right the first time, than have something that you’d buy, then want to return, or complain about. You do your thing, Uncommon… I can wait.

I get that it takes time to craft a fine product, but tomorrow will mark a month, and each day your competitors are getting their cases out while you lose business. uncommon you make some of the best cases, but its been killing me about your iphone 4 case i know you guys say you are having a problem with the flash being limited LIKE ALMOST EVER OTHER IPHONE 4 CASE. i dont feel how this is holding your case up. We live in a world with rapid prototyping hell you could even use a versa laser with a material at the same thickness and test out camera/flash cutout sizes and a trophy shop could do that for you! i lose faith every time i read your comments back if you where really passionate about your product this limited flash would be fixed. hell even if it can not be fixed people are still buying cases i hardly use my flash and wouldn’t effect me at all.

Here’s what I’m doing in the meantime. I’m getting my artwork ready, I’m working on some designs, and I’m going to add them to the gallery, once they have it all ready to go. I’ll order one (or two) to see how they turn out. If they turn out like I hope, then I’ll add the rest of what I’ve been working on. The time can be spent working on making some really beautiful, and you can share your own artwork with others when they purchase something you’ve created. As I’m sure Uncommon can tell you, allowing for such customizability is not something to take lightly. I mean, really, stop and think about it for a moment: Would you buy a half-painted Mona Lisa, or half-drawn Lichtenstein? You might, but I know I wouldn’t.

It’s funny when you read the comments from top to bottom and watch everybody get angrier as the time passes by.

I was lucky because my brother kept switching iPhone4 cases, so he’s been giving his "rejects" to me. I do drop my phone every now and again, but it’s only happened once to my iPhone 4, so until Uncommon comes out with these cases I think I can wait.

I also don’t see what the big deal is about buying another case to supplement yourselves until these cases [I’m eying the Capsule] are released… Better to have a backup in case your primary fails, right? Just offering my two cents.

We are almost half way through August, and still nothing…. The last time anyone from Uncommon posted here was almost a month ago….I’m still waiting for the iPad case, which we still haven’t seen. Then the iPod Touch case was supposed to be released in July and that’s still not out..

I believe the term that we use at this point is vaporware…. Which is sad because I’ve uploaded my designs and I’ve been waiting for both the iPhone 4 and iPad cases to be released so I could order them….

I think I speak for the rest of us in saying, Uncommon if you can’t produce the product, let us know so we can move on and find another case. Stringing us along is only pissing everyone off. Please stop shooting yourself in the metaphorical foot and let us know what’s going on!

iPod Touch Capsule Case: This case is ready to go and shipping now! If you pre-ordered a case you should receive it soon, if you haven’t already.

iPad cases: Our first iPad case will be launching by late September. It is a one-piece, snap-on hard case and it looks amazing! We will have product images available on our website soon. The iPad Capsule Case will not be produced at this time.

iPhone 4 Loop: The flexible TPU case will be for sale in mid-September. The Loop comes in six colors, shows off both sides of your iPhone, and is only $19.95.
