Just so you’re all aware of what you’re getting into…

I pre-ordered the iPod Touch case in April. I was shipped an iPhone 3G case with no explanation. It took a couple of emails for Uncommon to tell me that the iPhone case was a bonus because they weren’t shipping Touch cases yet.

OK. But my order is marked "Complete" on the site.

Fast forward to this week. Notice in the blurb that "If you have already placed a pre-order, your case has been shipped and you’ll see it soon." So I emailed Uncommon and was told that I’d get a shipping number soon.

Still hasn’t happened. Remember, my order is marked "Complete" after the iPhone case shipped.

Just for the record, I’m not accusing Uncommon of anything but excessive disorganization and of not thinking through the logistics of taking orders for future products…

I too ordered my ipod touch case around the same time as you. I didn’t get my case either. At least you got an Iphone case all I got was a 20%off coupon. And now it’s almost September and I didn’t get anything. My order also says it was completed and I have nothing! I can’t believe what a bad company Uncommon is. I thought they were a good company. I am soooo disappointed in them and they had great products too. I don’t think I would even order one for my Iphone 4, look how long the touch cases are taking. I might not get the Iphone 4 case until 2 years later, considering they still haven’t even gotten started on the Ipad cases4.

Lol, I remember seeing on the site that the ipod touch cases were shipping in july and were dispatched within 72 hours of ordering only to arrive at your address within a few days. If they’re shipping in august and take 2 weeks in the post, at least be honest about it.

The iPod Touch cases were on "pre-order" and we had some delays in the production process, which pushed back the shipping dates. Our iPhone 4 cases will not be sold on pre-order and therefore will ship soon after an order is placed.

I know the new iPod Touches were JUST released, but are you planning on making capsule cases for that new model? And if so, what would the ETA be for it? Would it be a 4-5 month wait similar to the iPhone 4 cases?

I also pre-ordered a iPod Touch case — I was psyched when I finally found a customizable hard case for my iPod so I jumped on it as soon as pre-orders were allowed.

I ordered late May and just recently received it. After calling a few times (they mentioned that it would be printing the next day but there were some delays), it finally shipped out.

It is a great case with some flaws (bottom does not sit flush with the top case, more flimsy that I envisioned and seems to get scratched easier than I would like). However, it took more than 3 months to receive it, when I originally only thought it would take half that time. I received no notice about the status except for one email — a coupon offer with additional apologies of "perfecting" the process as the reason for delay. But, why would I order another when I didn’t receive the first one?

Again, it’s a great case with much better printing quality than what I ordered from Skinit...

Just got my case today and it’s pretty good. As daphne says, the bottom is not flush (sizeable gap between the pieces as well) and there is a bulge in the top half of the case, even after removing the velvet sticker on the inside. Also, I think it would be nice if you added another black strip to go between the headphone jack and the usb thing because the chrome is exposed there. The front is very nice though, I like how the cover covers the bezel entirely and the printing is spot on.

This seems to be a strange company with not a lot of customer service. Why wouldn’t they take down the fake posts under their name and give some specifics about iphone4 cases. Glad someone pointed me to the on-case website because I wonder if these guys will ever get the cases made. Strange – they knew it was coming, there is obviously a big market for it, and yet they seem to be stuck. Is it a new company?

It depends on what shipping method you choose and where you are located. If you choose UPS Ground and are in the United States, your iPhone case should typically arrive within 6 days of ordering.

I ordered my case back in April and have sent numerous emails (3 this month!) and have had to resort to phoning the Uncommon offices to find out where my order is. I still haven’t received my iPod Touch case and no one bothers replying to my emails.

An absolutely appalling service.

Just received my iPhone 4 Deflector Case and, I must say, the transfer of my image to the case is absolutely beautiful. Great, vibrant colors and excellent resolution make this a noteworthy phone case. My complaint is two-fold. First, the case fits so snugly that it’s a struggle to get it off – and one imagines doing harm to the phone itself. The second, related issue is that the case must be removed every time I want to dock it in my iHome player/docking station. A very courteous phone assistant informed me that since most of their staff use cables, docking isn’t an issue. Please, also, be aware that there are NO RETURNS on these units.
